What is the Soaring Eagle Fund?

The Soaring Eagle Fund, Mount St. Michael Catholic School’s (MSMCS) Annual Fund, is the school’s

largest fundraising campaign for unrestricted gifts.  Unrestricted gifts allow MSMCS to use the funds

where the need is greatest.  This year’s campaign will run September 1 – December 31, 2023.

Why is it important?

The Soaring Eagle Fund directly benefits every Mount St. Michael student, every day.

The Soaring Eagle Fund accomplishes two primary goals:

• providing ongoing support to the operating budget

• allowing MSMCS to explore new possibilities for our community, such as our renovated chapel in 2019, our outdoor classroom space built in 2020, raised garden beds for each class, new outdoor learning curriculum, innovative materials for our science labs, and new Rooted Theology of the Body curriculum for 2023.

The actual cost to educate a student at MSMCS is approximately $10,550, therefore we begin the 2023-24 school year with an approximate $345,550 gap.  As with most independent private schools, MSMCS relies on annual, unrestricted giving to bridge the gap that exists between tuition and fees and the actual cost of operating the school. These vitally important annual gifts support our faculty, staff, and students.

Raising funds through our Soaring Eagle Fund allows families to give a gift that is meaningful to them, while taking advantage of tax deductions allowed by charitable gifts.

Who Gives to the Soaring Eagle Fund?

Everyone! MSMCS has a strong tradition of giving and receives gifts of all sizes from parents, alumni, faculty, staff, the Board of Trustees, grandparents, parents of alums, and friends of MSMCS.

How do I give to the Soaring Eagle Fund?

• Make a gift or pledge by clicking on Donate at the top of the page

• Mail a check directly to the school, which saves us the processing fee. Make checks payable to MSMCS and send to:

• Add a monthly donation online by clicking Donate Monthly at the top of the page - For some donors & families it’s more budget friendly to add a monthly which adds up and truly impacts our bottom line!
