What is Sacrum Cor?

Sacrum Cor, Mount St. Michael Catholic School’s (MSMCS) Annual Fund, is the school’s largest fundraising campaign for unrestricted gifts.  Unrestricted gifts allow MSMCS to use the funds where the need is greatest.  These vitally important annual gifts support our faculty, staff, and students. This year’s campaign will run September 1 - November 23, 2022.

Why is it important?

• Sacrum Cor directly benefits every Mount St. Michael student, every day.

• Allows MSMCS to explore new possibilities for our community such as:

  • Renovated chapel in 2019

  • Outdoor classroom space built in summer 2020 

  • New Theology of the Body Curriculum 2021

  • Innovative materials for our science labs.

  • Raised garden beds for each class

  • New outdoor learning curriculum complementing our classical education. 

  • Updated Campus Security

• Provides ongoing support to the operating budget

• Tuition at MSMCS covers approximately 75% of the cost of educating each student. As with most independent schools, MSMCS relies on annual, unrestricted giving to bridge the gap that exists between tuition and fees and the actual cost of operating the school.

Goal : $100,000

Raising funds through Sacrum Cor allows donors to give a gift that is meaningful to them, while taking advantage of tax deductions allowed by charitable gifts.
